Lovely, beautiful resort. Stayed in garden building with an amazing view of the sea. Staff was wonderful at breakfast and through the day at the pool. We ate twice at the Bistro and service/food was amazing. Agree that outside the hotel Portimao has a Myrtle Beach touristy vibe but the hotel itself is paradise!
Beautiful setting. Wonderful service. We stayed in the garden building with a seaside view and I could have sat on our patio all day overlooking the garden with the ocean at a distance. Delicious breakfast. Fabulous experience at the Vista Restaurant tasting--pricey but worth it, a true once in a lifetime experience.
Hotel and staff were top notch and just the nicest. This is a little oasis in what’s a crazy beach town. Flip side is easy access to local restaurants and good gelato! Hotel sits in a bluff above a great beach (no private access - typical for Portugal).
We booked basic room and we’re very pleased - design and colors were great. Got a partial ocean view (fine). Gym was awesome. Lots of space w good machines but they need heavier weights!
Food was great but menu was a little weird at bistro - didn’t know what to order for lunch or dinner…but both were delicious.
Parking was tough - this is on a gated pedestrian street only which couldn’t be driven after hours on a weekend night. Also it should be included in the hotel…there are no other alternatives and they charge 20e a day - felt a little lame.
